Video Contest Extends Earth Day Celebration

Solar Energy World, a Washington DC/Baltimore area provider and installer of solar panel systems, is extending the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day from one day to 40 with their 40 Day Earth Day Video Contest.

Solar Energy World is asking participants to create video that address either “What Earth Day means to you?” or “What are you doing to celebrate and share your knowledge with others? Participants should upload their videos to the 40 Day Earth Day YouTube group before May 23rd. A public voting period will be open between May 24th and May 31st.

The top five videos with the most views on YouTube will compete for a grand prize of a $2,500 donation to the winner’s school, civic or religious organization, or environmental nonprofit of choice.
