The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is very excited to announce the new Chairman of the Maryland Chamber’s Business Development Council, Eric Brotman, President of Brotman Financial Group. He replaces Deborah Stallings of HR Anew, who brought new life the the Council during her time as Chair.

Brotman’s goal is to make the Council a more vital subset of the Maryland Chamber. He said he looks forward to collaborating with existing members and bringing in new members with creative ideas, to attract more people to the Business Development Council.

“My goal is to come together as a group to create more business opportunities for everyone,” Brotman said. “To find more business-to-business opportunities to show our work, learn about procurement opportunities and share business practices.”

Nate Beil, President of KCI Technologies, Inc., is the new Chairman of the Maryland Chamber’s Membership Committee. He takes over for John McCormick, of McCormick & Company, who did an amazing job over the last two years during a challenging economy.

Beil said his top priorities are to grow membership and get current members more engaged in Chamber activities and events.

With plans to focus on strengthening membership recruitment strategies and new member onboarding, Beil is ready to show his dedication to the Chamber and its members. Watch the video above to see what Beil had to say about becoming the new Membership Committee Chair.

Maryland Chamber In Reality – Bill Riley Named Chairman from Maryland Chamber of Commerce on Vimeo.

William T. Riley Jr., CPA, a Principal in Reznick Group’s Baltimore Office, was elected Chairman of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors on May 4, during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.

As Chairman, Riley’s goals are to grow the organization’s membership and to increase member engagement in the State Chamber’s events and activities.

“Bill Riley is a strategic thinker and well respected business leader. His experience makes him the perfect person to lead the Chamber to growth and success in a changing economy,” said Maryland Chamber President/CEO Kathleen T. Snyder, CCE.

Bill Riley, Principal in Reznick Group’s Baltimore Office and Vice Chairman of the Maryland Chamber, has been selected to receive the American Red Cross Life Achievement Award. He is being recognized for his outstanding commitment to the community.

Riley began his service to the community as a youth and continues to exemplify the passion of giving today. He created Reznick Group’s Community Outreach Day, which is an annual event where Reznick Group employees dedicate a full day in helping a variety of education and charitable organizations within local communities. Riley also supports the Friends of Rigby Foundation, has mentored students at Georgetown University’s School of Business, leads Reznick Group’s National Social Impact Committee and started the Annual Charity Gold Tournament in Reznick Group’s Baltimore office.

On March 31, Riley will be honored during the 13th Annual Red Cross Hometown Heroes ceremony at Martins West in Baltimore. For more information, click here. Congratulations, Bill!
