Stallings Named Secretary of the National Association of Women Business Owners

Deborah Stallings, PHR, President and CEO of HR Anew, was recently named National Secretary of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). In this role, Stallings shall assure the corporate records, including the minutes of board and executive committee meetings, are properly maintained.

NAWBO is the voice of America’s 10.4 million women-owned businesses. Since 1975, NAWBO has helped women evolve their businesses by sharing resources and providing a single voice to shape economic and public policy. With 9,000 members and 80 chapters, NAWBO is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries. Stallings has served on NAWBO’s Board for the past year. She is also very active with NAWBO’s Baltimore Chapter.

HR Leadership Awards
Stallings was also recently awarded the Sister Eymard Gallagher Award for Corporate Social Responsibility by the Human Resource Leadership Awards of Greater Washington. The award honors an individual, team or organization for leadership, dedication, and achievements that help create positive change in the community.

Established in 2001, the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington honor HR executives for outstanding contributions to their organizations and to the field of human resource management through organizational leadership, risk taking, innovation, vision and communication, community service, and ethics.

Stallings is a member of the Maryland Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chair of the Maryland Chamber’s Business Development Council.
