Reznick Group Sets Community Service Example

by Will Burns on June 24, 2010

Reznick Group’s Baltimore office spent Friday, June 11th giving back to the community as part of its 4th Annual Community Outreach Day. Community Outreach Day is the Baltimore office’s largest annual community service event.

“As a recognized leader in the accounting profession, we also take pride in being a leader in the area of community service,” said Bill Riley, Principal in Reznick Group’s Baltimore office and Vice Chairman of the Maryland Chamber. “The Baltimore office and the firm as a whole are dedicated to helping the communities in which we work through volunteerism. Our hope is that other businesses will follow the example we have so proudly set.”

This year, 130 Reznick Group employees spread out across the Baltimore area, participating in six different volunteer projects to benefit local charitable organizations. The organizations were:

  • Jones Falls Watershed Association
  • PACT: Helping Children with Special Needs
  • Humane Society of Baltimore County
  • Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
  • CHAI – Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc.
  • Moveable Feast

Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU) helped Reznick Group identify nonprofit partners for the event. If your company is interested in holding a similar community service day, BVU can help connect you with nonprofits in need of volunteers. In addition to help organize volunteer projects, BVU can help your company strengthen its community service efforts in many other ways. Learn more here.
