More than 180 employees from Reznick Group’s Baltimore office participated in its second annual Community Outreach Day last month.

Organized into teams of 15-50 people, the Reznick Group employees were deployed to seven nonprofit organization sites throughout Baltimore, which included:

  • The Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA);
  • The Loading Dock;
  • International Book Bank;
  • Levindale Adult Day Center in Pikesville;
  • Villa Maria Continuum;
  • Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc. (CHAI); and
  • Friends of the Patapsco Valley.

To help identify the nonprofit organizations, Reznick Group partnered withBusiness Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU), which connects local business professionals with nonprofit organizations seeking volunteers.

“The firm is committed to community service.  Each office, including Baltimore, coordinates these charitable efforts through social impact committees.  This is the second year that we’ve held a Community Outreach Day in Baltimore and we hope this will become a tradition that our employees eagerly anticipate all year.  Everyone really felt they made a difference while having a great time,” said Bill Riley, principal in Reznick Group’s Baltimore office.

Community Outreach Day grew out of strong interest to get involved with charitable activities as a group. This is the second year the Baltimore office organized an all employee community service day. Last year they organized the event in conjunction with the firm’s 30th anniversary.
