The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is proud to support LoveLocal Maryland, a new statewide program to promote doing business locally. The program was created by WBAL-TV and is designed to promote and educate the public about the significant economic and environmental benefits derived from supporting our local businesses.
Visit www.LoveLocalMaryland.com to add your company to the free directory of local businesses. When the directory goes live, consumers will be able to search for products and services by category, location, proximity or keyword. This is a great feature for both Maryland residents looking for a specific kind of business near them and for tourists who are constantly in search of businesses in an unfamiliar place.
The directory listing is free. For an additional fee, small businesses can get access to a full set of sales and marketing tools like a customizable page on the site, E-coupons, customer management tools, email and text marketing tools, enhanced search engine features and more.
WBAL-TV will be promoting the campaign through a series of public service announcements, which will appear several times a day, during their news programs, in addition to other programs like Oprah, Ellen, Regis & Kelly Live and more. You can view the promo here.
Members of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce receive a 20 percent discount off the subscription for the sales and marketing tools – rate of $78 per year. Learn more about the program online at www.LoveLocalMaryland.com.
In addition to the Maryland Chamber, the Love Local Maryland program has gained the support of a number of other business organizations, including:
- Restaurant Association of Maryland
- Maryland Retailers Association
- Maryland Hotel and Lodging Association
- Maryland Tourism Council
- Maryland Hispanic Chamber
- Maryland Bankers Association
- Greater Baltimore Committee
- Maryland Association of CPAs
