Approximately 60 lawyers and staff from the Baltimore office of Hogan & Hartson LLP volunteered their time to help clean up and work with students at Collington Square School. The office’s Community Volunteer Day of Service is part of a recognition of the firm’s 20-year anniversary in Baltimore and its ongoing commitment to the community.
In addition to painting and cleaning offices, weeding and planting the school’s garden, and cleaning up and mulching the adjacent community park and community garden, Hogan & Hartson employees worked directly with the students in various subjects, including reading, drama, art, and physical education. Activities concluded with a concert and theater arts performance by school students followed by a picnic lunch in nearby Patterson Park.
The office is working to expand volunteer and partnering opportunities with Collington Square School, a Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) Charter School serving pre-kindergarten through grade eight in East Baltimore, and other BCP schools. BCP manages five charter schools for the Baltimore City Public School System, a Hogan & Hartson client.
The Baltimore office of Hogan & Hartson is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. Opened in 1988, it has grown to nearly 80 lawyers and staff. Key industries served by the office include life sciences, education, energy, high technology, private equity, financial services, and national security and government services.
